PVA FIBRES
PVA FIBRES
Product details
PVA fibres are engineered for advanced reinforcement in decorative and structural concrete. Unlike standard fibre mesh, these polyvinyl alcohol fibres bond tightly with the cement matrix, creating a dense, durable composite that dramatically reduces cracking and increases toughness.
Widely used in high-performance concrete and GFRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete), our fibres are ideal for achieving lightweight yet incredibly strong worktops, sinks, and other bespoke designs.

Performance Highlights
- Crack Resistance: Significantly reduces shrinkage and micro-cracking in concrete.
- Durability: Enhances impact resistance and flexural strength, contributing to the longevity of concrete structures.
- Aesthetic Quality: Maintains a smooth surface finish without visible fibre strands, ideal for decorative applications.
-
Corrosion-Free: Unlike steel reinforcement, PVA fibres do not rust, preventing staining and degradation over time.
Recommended Applications - Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC): Ideal for creating strong, durable, and aesthetically pleasing concrete elements.
- Precast Concrete Elements: Suitable for thin-walled panels, facades, and architectural features.
- Decorative Concrete: Enhances the durability and appearance of decorative concrete surfaces.
Packaging Options
- Standard Packaging: 8 kg bags.
Usage Guidelines
- Mixing: Add fibres gradually during the mixing process to ensure even distribution throughout the concrete mix.
- Curing: Standard curing procedures should be followed to achieve optimal performance.
- Compatibility: Compatible with various concrete mixes, including those incorporating silica fume and other supplementary cementitious materials.
Why PVA Fibres Are Better Than Glass Fibres ?
- Superior bonding: PVA fibres chemically bond with cement, controlling cracks and improving toughness.
- Alkali & corrosion resistant: They won’t degrade in concrete over time.
- Smooth finish: Fine fibres stay hidden, ideal for decorative surfaces.
- Ductile & durable: Flexible enough to bridge micro-cracks, unlike brittle glass fibres.
- Safe & easy to handle: Non-toxic, no irritation risk.

Overall Stonemade and all who work for them are awesome. They were incredibly efficient with communication and very willing to help at every turn! I really enjoyed the experience collaborating with them for my coffee shop's counter.
Aurelia, Frank and Casper were all individually super helpful and knowledgable about their particular element of the process and I'll definitely be working with them again in the future. Thanks guys!
So far so good! From first enquiry on December 5th, to templating on Dec 12, to installation on Dec 21st.
My concrete kitchen countertop looks amazing, was cheaper than other quotes I received, and Casper is an absolute delight to deal with.
Would strongly recommend.
Our experience with Stonemade was great!
They worked with us to achieve the exact size and finish we were after.
We ended up fabricating on site and the team was very knowledgable and professional. Would definitely recommend!
